Apply smooth plastic saran wrap onto your window to protect it, securing the edges with tape. Then gather kids safe scissors and two or three glue sticks. Have kids cut pieces of colored tissue paper in different shapes and affix it to the plastic using the glue sticks. Encourage kids to work together to create patterns or shapes within this project. When done, it should let some light through just like a stained glass window!
Art, Motor Skills for kids of all ages
Poor some colored tempera school paint into bowls at your art table, and add a marble or two to each color paint. Place a piece of construction paper for each child inside a baking tray or small box. Have the kids place the marble inside, and tilt the tray around so that the marble leaves streaks of paint as it rolls across the paper.
Note: Marbles can be a choking hazard, so keep a close eye on the kids.
