We will cover earth’s rocks, soil, air, water and other elements, as well as a general overview of the animal and plant life on the planet. This is a great theme to use as a bridge into a variety of other topics, fishing for subjects of interest with your class.

Imagine if you were to cut off a piece of a squirrel’s tail, plant it in the ground, and have it grow into a new squirrel. Wouldn't that be amazing! As amazing as it sounds, this is exactly what many plants can do. If you stick a leaf from a jade plant in some sand, it may sprout roots and grow into a new plant.
