A Tip for getting Free Pictures to use for Collages
Whether it’s for collages, art projects, or writing activities, it seems teachers are always on the hunt for pictures of some type. In almost every classroom, you can find the stack of shredded national Geographic's and other magazines that have been used far beyond their shelf life. Yet there's an easy way to get a constant, steady supply of colorful magazines for classroom use.
One especially useful trick live found is to try and send away for as much free travel information as possible. You can find postcards in just about every travel magazine where you just circle the numbers and drop the pre-paid card in the mail. Companies then mail you information, often in the form of big, beautiful brochures and magazines, some even the size of a book, which are great for collages or other activities.
plus there are perks: you get to read up on all sorts of wonderful and exotic vacations that you might otherwise be able to take if only you weren't working on a teacher's salary. ;-)
