Alphabet Infested Waters

Fill a large tub or your sensory table with water. Gather some plastic alphabet magnets, or any other type of letters that will float. (foam letters, wooden letters, etc.) Put the letters inside the water with some toy boats. Have the children play with the boats navigating them through ‘Alphabet Infested Waters'. As always, take the opportunity to
engage in conversation regarding letter
recognition, sounds, etc. You can get creative by pretending that the letters call out their phonetic sounds in the water like the sound an animal would make.
