Pirate Treasure Counting

Preschool to Grade One

Gather up a bunch of pennies and maybe a few nickels, and use gold spray paint to turn them into pretend pirate coins. Set them out at a table along with a scale and maybe a coin pouch or two and have the kids do counting and math exorcises.
