Place a box of small disposable cups at your table, and have the kids build 3D pyramids with them. Have them count how many cups go into each level of the pyramid they create. Then have them determine how many cups the base should have to make a pyramid 5 layers high, etc. This is an excellent activity for working on basic geometry and many other mathematical concepts.
