Search the papers for stories that might be of interest to the children. Cut them out, and show them to the children in group time, summarizing what the article had to say. Have a discussion about the topic, inviting the children’s take on things. This can be an ongoing group time activity through out this theme, and invite the kids to bring in newspaper or magazine articles of their own.
