On a large piece of butcher paper, use brown paint to make the trunk of a tree, branching off into many bare branches. Allow to dry. Once dry, tape it on the wall at the children’s eye level next to your art table. Set out tempera school paint in an assortment of fall colors, along with paint brushes. Have kids paint their hands, then press their hand over the branches of the tree to give it fall leaves in the shapes of hand prints.
