Cut a strip of butcher paper four to five feet in length, and lay it out at on classroom table or an open area on the floor. Use a marker to draw the outline of mountains. Provide the kids with paint or other art materials, and have them collectively decorate the mountain mural. You may be amazed at how great it can turn out.
