Poor a little bit of sand or dirt into your sensory table or another large tub, then fill it with water. Allow the dirt or sand to settle on bottom, then add some leaves for lily pads. Provide the kids with toy snakes, frogs, bugs, or other pond creatures, and have them recreate a pond habitat in the sensory table.
