Cut different shapes from construction paper,and have children pick one. Set out glitter, glue, sequins, markers, and any other art supplies you have handy. Have them use the items to decorate their shapes. The finished project makes a great classroom display. Write word labels for each shape and post the display at children’s eye level to assist in teaching them shape recognition.
