Counting coins provides a great opportunity to work on counting by 1 IS, 5's, 10's, and 25's. Collect a handful of whatever coins you are going to count, be it pennies,
nickels, dimes, or quarters. Sit in a circle, and pass out one coin to each child. Put a jar in the middle, and have the kids count as each child deposits their coin into the jar
