Teaching children how to write their name can be a sometimes frustrating process. But for those youngsters who are just starting out, this is a helpful technique to teach them. Just take any piece of paper, and using a highlighter or light colored marker, print their name on the page as many times as you can. Then provide them with a dark colored marker or a pencil, and have them trace over your writing to make their name. After several sessions of this, kids will start to fine tune their motor skills, and will be able to form the characters in their name more smoothly on their own.
