On note cards or pieces of paper, write the first names of the parents / legal guardians for all the kids in your class. Attach a Velcro backing to the cards. Next clear an area of wall in your group time, take pictures of each child, and post their picture up on the wall. Put 2 Velcro pieces next to each child's picture. Go through the names in group time, having the kids guess what child the parent goes with and sticking the name tag on the wall with their picture. This activity will do wonders for language skills, and kids will learn the names of each others parents, adding to the community like atmosphere of your classroom.
