Toy Budgeting

Set out several toy catalogs, some calculators, scratch paper, and pencils. Give the kids an

imaginary budget to work with, and have them search through the catalogs to find items they want. Next have them fine tune their selections to create a wish list that fits within their budget. Use this

activity to discuss the value of money and the

importance of responsible spending.
