THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY LITERACY
Literacy is a fundamental on which all other learning is based. Children who get a head start in literacy carry that advantage with them throughout their life. They do better in school, find their work more enjoyable, and are even more likely to attend college. Meanwhile, those who fall behind in reading will be constantly struggling to catch up. This doesn’t mean that every 4 year old needs to be at a 1st grade level. But providing a language rich environment and planting the fundamentals of reading are extremely
important. So use our resources for emergent literacy early and often to give your kids the jumpstart to success that they deserve.
