Homemade Whipped Cream
Kids will have fun with this simple formula for making homemade whipped cream:
1) Place a metal whisk and a medium size glass or metal bowl in the freezer, chilling these items for about 10 minutes till they are very cold.
2) In the chilled bowl, combine one cup of heavy whipping cream along with two teaspoons of confectioners’ sugar.
3) Using the chilled whisk, have children whip the ingredients together until soft peaks start to form.
Hard Chocolate Ice Cream Topping
This simple recipe makes a chocolate sauce that quickly hardens, perfect to poor over ice cream, marshmallows, or to use in other cooking projects.
A) One 11 or 12 oz package of chocolate baking pieces, semi sweet or sweet work best; you can also use whit chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, cinnamon, mint or cherry flavored.
B) One fourth cup coconut oil or vegetable oil (coconut oil, available at large health food stores or supermarkets, adds a flavorful twist.)
